Thanks again for such an amazing evening, not only was the food out of this world but the staff were warm and friendly & professional... We will see you very soon.
Frankie’s Farmshop’s ability to offer superb, locally sourced food, personable service and a great atmosphere in a kitchen built from scratch on site was admired by all. The level of professionalism, flexibility and forward thinking displayed by the whole team could not be more highly recommended.
Puttin on the Ritz
Early 2013, I had the good fortune of bumping in to Stephen Higgins, conductor and pianist who lives locally in Staplehurst. He and his wife Katie had already been successfully staging musical and literary events at All Saints Church, Staplehurst.
It wasn't long before Stevie had transported me to 1920s New York and the idea of staging Puttin on the Ritz at Frankie's was born. Inspired by the witty epithets of Dorothy Parker and the satirical genius of Cole Porter, George Gershwin and Irving Berlin, Stephen challenged himself with presenting a musical and literary entertainment, recreating the world of martinis, east side clubs, west side hotels and Greenwich Village speakeasies.
It has been a wonderful journey. Award winning actress Greta Scacchi, highly entertaining tenor Hal Cazalett and stunning actress Francesca Jackson all joined Stephen on the night to revisit the decadent, dynamic and dissolute era of the 1920s and transport the audience to a fabulous by-gone era.
Greta Scaachi entertained with grace, wit and beauty and many remarked how much they would like to see her back on the screen.
Frankie's Farmshop was touched by something very special that evening.....
